Site work for a civil project in Holliston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
In general, the Work of this Project includes, but is not limited to furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to install, test, disinfect, and place in service approximately 4,400 linear feet (with additional 1,200 linear feet as Additive Alternate) of 8-inch ductile iron water mains, valves, hydrants, fittings, culvert crossings, water services, surface restorations and all other related Work complete as specified. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $1,200,000.00. Deposits may be paid electronically or by certified or cashier's check. Such deposits will be refunded for up to 2 sets if the Contract Documents are returned within thirty (30) days after the opening of Bids. Contract Documents will be mailed to prospective Bidders upon request and receipt of a separate payment (non-refundable) to cover mail handling costs. The fee for mailing each set of Contract Documents is $40.00 for UPS Ground or $65.00 for UPS overnight, made payable (electronically or by certified or cashier's check) to BidDocs Online Inc. The Contract Documents may be examined (by prior appointment only) during business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at: Holliston Water Division Town Hall 703 Washington Street Holliston, Massachusetts 01746 Phone: (508) 429-0603 Questions regarding requests for Contract Documents shall be forwarded to BidDocs Online, Inc. at website and Phone: (978) 888-3350, or Nashoba Blue, Inc. at Phone: (978) 568-1167. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Deputy Director of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this Project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before Bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract. Bidders attention is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, minimum state wage rates to be paid and payroll submission requirements under the Contract. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid within thirty (30) calendar days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded) after the actual date of the Bid opening. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in DOCUMENT 00100, INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS. The bidding and award of this Contract shall be in full compliance with Sections 39M inclusive of Chapter 30 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. The total time period for completion of all Work under the Basis of Award is 180 consecutive calendar days using no more than 40 on-site working days. It is the intent of this Project for construction to start once all materials are approved and delivered and to continue until all Work is completed. If the Owner decides to proceed with Additive Alternate, there will be an additional 20 on-site working days for Additive Alternate. The total Contract completion schedule will remain as 180 consecutive calendar days. Work performed beyond the specified total completion 180 consecutive calendar days and or applicable on-site working day periods will be subject to liquidated damages in the amount specified in the Contract Documents, unless the time for completion is extended otherwise by the Contract Documents. The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects, or reject any or all Bids if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so. Question Deadline 03/13/2023 All questions by prospective Bidders as to the interpretation of the Contact Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer.
