In general, the work involves, but is not limited to, selective clearing, excavation, grading, aluminum toe-wall installation, tile installation, CMP water control structure, and seeding. This project includes around 5,844 cubic yards of earthwork, one aluminum toe-wall, 915 linear feet of tile installation, 251 tons of riprap or erosion stone, and 2.5 acres of seeding. Bids must be submitted on the appropriate bid forms provided and shall include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%). Bidders must also be registered with the Iowa Division of Labor. In order to be included on the plan holders list, which is required to be able to receive meeting minutes, addenda and an updated plan holders list, interested parties must make a written or verbal request to the Division by telephone: 515-344-6279C, or by e-mail: tracy.bruun@iowaagriculture.gov. Bidders who attend and sign-in to the pre-bid conference will be added to the plan holders list. Printed copies of specifications and plans will be provided to the successful bidder The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance/Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
