As of March 28, 2023 project is not awarded. The City ofMarlborough, the Awarding Authority, seeks bids from contractors for the Lake Williams Boardwalk in Marlborough, Massachusetts, CONTRACT NO. ED 2023-02 for the Department ofPublic Works-Engineering Division in accordance with the documents prepared by the City of Marlborough. The project consists of a base bid and an alternate bid. As part ofthe base bid the work includes the installation of 1920' of a 6' wide prefabricated steel framed or precast concrete boardwalk system with railings and helical piles as indicated in the Construction Drawings and Specifications including all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete the work. The alternate bid includes the installation of an additional 1495' of boardwalk as described above Note the contract award shall be based on the total base bid. This project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Massachusetts awarding authorities are required to incorporate participation goals for minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs) and women-owned business enterprises (WBEs) into capital construction projects. In addition, M.G.L. c. 149, 44A(2)(G), requires that all contracts by a state agency or state-assisted contracts for design, construction, reconstruction, installation, demolition, maintenance, or repair must contain workforce participation goals for minorities and women. Workforce participation goals refer to the makeup ofthe contractors' workforce rather than the ownership ofthe business entity. The current goals are 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions and minimum wage rates required by M.G.L. c.30, 39M as amended, and M.G.L. c.149, 26 to 27H, inclusive, or by the federal Davis-Bacon wage rates (as applicable), whichever hourly rate is higher.
