The Interstate 11 (I-11) corridor is envisioned as a major north-south multimodal corridor that will provide enhanced transportation mobility and movement of goods between Mexico and Canada. It will create a foundation for robust economic vitality for the region and the broader Intermountain West. I-11 was federally designated as a new interstate corridor from the Arizona/Sonora, Mexico border to I-80 in legislation. A set of 10 interchanges are proposed to be built or improved along U.S. 95 within the study corridor, along with a new truck parking facility. The existing Kyle Canyon Road interchange will remain as is. Generally, the new interchange configuration will consist of a traditional diamond layout, providing access to both sides of I-11 and maximizing the distance between the ramp terminals for future operational benefit. As of November 18, 2025, this project is in the planning phase. A feasibility study was completed in 2025. The next steps would be NEPA, design, and construction. An engineer has not been selected. Construction could be more than several years out.
