Renovation of a water / sewer project in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by SaskWater to prospective Contractors to submit proposals for well dewatering process upgrades at SaskWater's Wakaw River Pump Station, as described in the "Deliverables". The WHWSS River Pump Station was constructed in 1996. The majority of the infrastructure is original to the building. This project is primarily required to replace the leaking knife gate valve on the river intake pipe. Additional modifications throughout the pump station will improve operator safety during general maintenance and well dewatering activities, including: modification and expansion of existing platforms and guard rails, installation of new davit bases and anchors, replacement of the existing dewatering pump and discharge hose, lighting upgrades throughout the well, and installation of new power receptacles. SaskWater will maintain and distribute a list of all proponents in attendance. SaskWater will guide the attendees through the work areas and provide information on the facility and scope of work. All questions will be recorded, and SaskWater will post written answers to SaskTenders for all proponents to view. The proponents may take pictures of the work site during the visit.
