Site work for a mixed-use development in N Richmond, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

All questions regarding bid documents, construction plans, and specifications must be submitted via the bids online system no later than 5:00 pm, Tuesday, March 21, 2023. In general, the work to be performed includes the demolition of a wharf and warehouse as well as bank restoration. This work includes, but is not limited to the following: compliance with State and Federal regulatory agency permits; preparation and implementation of a SWPPP; installation of a silt curtain; bathymetric surveys; clearing and grubbing; removal and disposal of wood, concrete, and steel both above and underwater; removal and disposal of piles of various types; management and disposal of hazardous materials; earthwork; placement of rock slope protection and all other work as shown on the Plans, as called for in the Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer The Engineer has $5.5 million available to construct the project. The estimated cost for the base bid is $4 million. The estimated cost for Additional Bid Alternatives A and B is $1.3 million and $2 million respectively. The lowest bid shall be the sum of the base bid and Additional Alternative A. All bidders are subject to California contractor's licensing laws and the provisions of Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15. A California Type A Contractor's license is required to bid this Contract. The bidder must also have a hazardous Substance Removal Certification. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Other licenses may be required for additional specialty work. Not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The City of Richmond reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any informality or minor irregularity in the bids. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing bids.
