The City of Doraville is soliciting proposals from qualified companies experienced in and able to perform municipal Residential & Commercial Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Services within the City. The City of Doraville is expected to ensure waste management and trash removal and does so through service contracted with a responsible and responsive company or other governmental entity. The City of Doraville has approximately 2,200 households from which bagged solid waste is collected from contractor-owned containers at the front curb of each house. As an exception some containers, by special request and City approval, are gathered from a side or backyard from residents with physical limitations/disabilities that preclude them from placing their garbage and recycling containers curbside for servicing. These exceptions currently total approximately 40. Additionally, the City fully supports and encourages the recycling of appropriate materials. The selected company shall provide Residential & Commercial Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Services to the City of Doraville. The City is issuing this RFP to secure curbside collection services for residential household garbage, bulk item, certified freon-free white goods, yard waste and recyclable materials in the incorporated areas of the City. The RFP is also to secure Dumpster (front end load or roll off) services for City facilities, parks and special City sponsored solid waste collection events. Additionally, the City is issuing this RFP to secure Front End Load and Roll Off dumpster services for all commercial accounts within the City Limits who have a need for such services.
