Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and 63,000-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility.
The project includes a 3-story office building consisting of approximately 63,000 square feet. The structural system includes a rammed aggregate pier ground improvement system, conventional footings and foundations and a structural steel frame. The building exterior is clad with aluminum framed curtainwall, storefront, and terra cotta panels. The project has an atrium with a smoke exhaust system. The atrium, adjacent collaboration rooms and common areas will be fully finished out. Tenant spaces will not receive any finishes. There will be several outdoor roof top patio (balcony) spaces. The 3.5-acre site will include the improvements including a surface parking lot, outdoor plaza with amphitheater, landscaping and a paved area for food-trucks. Provisions are being made for a future photovoltaic array on the rooftop, as well as electric vehicle charging stations in the surface lot. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check, in the sum of five per cent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Kenosha as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of contract. Should any bid be rejected, such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the contract and performance bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages.
