Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Mendham Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The existing bridge is a single span truss with a stringer/floorbeam system and concrete deck, founded on stone masonry abutments and wingwalls, with concrete bridge seats/caps. The proposed work consists of the following: Structural steel repairs to the lower chord members, consisting of installation of supplemental repair angles and gusset plates. Clean and paint existing truss lower chord, lower gusset plates and connecting members at lower joints. Clean and paint fascia stringers and ends of floorbeams. Clean and paint additional members as needed. Additional structural steel repairs, as needed, based on results of cleaning steel members. Resetting stone masonry on wingwalls and abutments as necessary to complete the repairs and cleaning and painting of the trusses. Additional masonry repairs, stone masonry repointing and concrete patching as needed or directed by the County. HMA pavement repair of potholes in the approach roadways and steel curb repairs on the bridge deck as need or as directed by the County There is no proposed work shown on the plans for the roadway, beyond what is listed in item #4 above. The only work on the roadway or embankments will be as needed for completion of the above work or restoration of damages incurred during the work. Any work of the roadway or embankments will be as directed by the County. There is no anticipated relocation of any above ground or underground utilities for the completion of the work.
