The City of Nevada is hereby requesting proposals for janitorial and cleaning
services for the Nevada City Hall, Fitness center, and Nevada Police department
buildings located at 110 South Ash, 110 S Adams, and 120 South Ash Streets in
Nevada.
Proposals are to be written statements of proposed services signed by the owner
or responsible officer of the responding contractor. The contractor must be able to
provide proof of insurance and bonding necessary for the proposed services as well as
pass a background check to be considered for this contract. The contractor must
comply with all Federal, State and local laws and ordinances regarding the employment
of individuals. The City of Nevada reserves the right to reject any proposals submitted
for this request. Further information may be obtained from the Administrative Services

The following is a list of services that shall be included in the submitted
proposals.
o Mop tiled floors once weekly. or more often as needed.
o Clean and sanitize all restrooms daily.
o Vacuum rugs and carpeted areas
o Empty and put trash liners in all trash receptacles daily.
o Clean all baseboards.
o Refill all paper products, soap dispensers and supplies in restrooms,
conference rooms, break rooms and offices
o Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, council chambers, and
general areas
o Dust partitions, vents, window blinds
o Clean windows
o Clean and sanitize all tables, desktops and chairs, excluding workspaces
of city staff.
o Respond promptly to requests to perform deeper cleaning due to the
presence of communicable diseases such as COVID-19, flu/viruses etc.
o Maintain communication with building administration regarding concerns,
challenges or other issues that might impact the cleanliness or health and
safety of the facility.
o Securing the building when leaving. BIDDER'S QUESTIONS:

days prior to the bid opening. 3. BID EVALUATION/CONTRACT AWARD:
3.1. Any contract resulting from this request shall be awarded in response to a
bid providing the lowest and best bid to the City of Nevada.
3.2. The City of Nevada reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive
any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the work,
and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced
or conditional bids. Also, the City reserves the right to reject the bid of any
bidder it believes would not be in the best interest of the City to make an
award to that bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or the
bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any
other pertinent standards or criteria established for the proposed services.
The City also reserves the right to select the bid it deems most beneficial
and economical. 3.3. The City of Nevada hereby notifies all bidders that it will insure that in any
contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business
enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to
this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race,
color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry or national origin in consideration
for an award.
