Renovation of a multi-residential development in Pismo Beach, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
**As of April 19, 2023 this project has been cancelled and currently there are no plans on rebidding at this time.** Before submitting bids, Contractors shall be licensed in accordance with the Laws of the State of California. Accordingly, the successful Bidder shall possess a C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor's License at the time this contract is awarded. A certified check, cashier's check, or Bidder's Bond executed by an admitted surety insurer in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, and properly made payable to the City of Pismo Beach, will be required to accompany each proposal. The successful contractor will be required to furnish [three (3)] acceptable surety bonds: one for faithful performance, one for labor and materials [and the other for maintenance following construction]. Each bond is to be executed in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price [except that the maintenance bond shall be for ten percent (10%) of the contract price and shall remain in effect for one year following acceptance of the project for final payment]. Bidders that do not attend this mandatory pre-bid meeting shall be disqualified from bidding on this Project. Questions will be accepted in writing up to 96 hours before bid closing by emailing Eric Eldridge. Questions regarding bid procedure or other non-technical questions can be asked by emailing Erin Olsen. Contract award will be based on the base bid. The right is reserved by the City of Pismo Beach to reject any or all bids, to evaluate the bids submitted, and award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder. The City further reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the bid. The work described in this section covers protective coatings for the project including the existing pipeline, supporting structure and appurtenances. The project goals are to achieve coating that provides long term service, good aesthetics and with low maintenance cost using best industry practices. B. The Contractor shall supply all coatings, solvents, abrasives, hoses, paint guns, materials storage and any other tools, equipment and consumables necessary for the proper preparation and application of the coatings. C. The Contractor shall provide containment and take necessary measures to assure protection of City and private property. D. The Contractor shall be familiar with the service conditions of the pipeline and shall provide preparation and coating submittals as appropriate. The Contractor shall consult the Engineer prior to any coating activity where the coating of certain components or surfaces is in question.
