Question Submission Close Date: 3/15/2023 4:00 PM EST The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to provide: services for removal of old culvert and installation of new culvert. (Required services must be performed according to Attachment B: Scope of Work.) This contract will result in one contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible bidder Bidder will complete the work and invoice for the Culvert Project by or before June 30, 2023 Culvert Project o Old culvert which is currently below the confluence with Basin Creek will be removed o New culvert will be placed upstream on South Fork Junction Creek above the confluence of Basin creek New position of culvert will allow for a much smaller diameter product as significantly less water will need to pass through the culvert o The new culvert structure will be manufactured or purchased as an Aluminum Structural Plate PipeArch that meets the engineer's specifications. o The new Culvert will be placed as specified by the engineer's site plans. o New road will be graded from the main road (Valley Lynn Road) to the opposite side of newly placed culvert per the engineer's site plan his scope of work is for the removal of one culvert and the structure will be replaced in a manner that allows for up and downstream fish passage. The design and site plan have been engineered by Quadrant Consulting Incorporated who will retain engineering construction oversite. A site visit with DWR personnel, engineers, and landowner will be necessary prior to bidding on the project to ensure the contractor understands the job requirements, topography of the area, and location of the site. The culvert project will be required to be completed and billed for by the end of the State Fiscal Year 2023 which ends on June 30, 2023.
