Work consists ofremoval of existing bituminous pavement by cold planer, followed by
repaving with Class I bituminous pavement. The Contractor shall provide all equipment
necessary for cold planing, hauling of all removed materials and cleaning ofsurface in
preparation ofpavement. There may be roadways that will require keyways up to three feet
wide that will not be cold planed; they will be resurfaced only. Hot bituminous concrete
pavement and berms will be placed in the same locations as directed by the Superintendent
or Foreman. This pavement shall be machine laid in one (1) top course at one-half(1 1/2)
inches in compacted thickness with a leveler only as needed, as directed by the DPW Director or Foreman.he work shall include roadways, sidewalks, berms, driveways, walks, parking areas and any other paved areas encountered in the work. Resurfacing will not be strictly limited to the areas disturbed, when in the judgment ofthe DPW Director or Foreman, an expansion ofthe
