The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to solicit sealed bids from qualified Independent Contractors to perform upgrades to the existing courtyard of the Senior Center Wing of the Warren County Health and Human Services Complex at 465 West 15th Street Front Royal, VA 22630. The Independent Contractor shall supply all materials needed to install a new concrete slab, trench drain, planters, stone wrapped CMU piers, and metal fencing and gate as shown in the drawings. Contractor shall remove the existing 500 gallon gas tank and replace with a like tank. Contractor shall coordinate with Quarles on a compatible replacement. description of work 1. demolition includes removal of existing concrete walk as shown on drawings, and removal of soil as needed for grading. 2. new construction includes installation of new concrete slab, trench drain, planters, stone wrapped cmu piers and metal fencing and gate. 3. scope of work shall include labor, materials, tools, equipment and services necessary to do work described in these drawing. 4. scope of work includes completing construction without leaving holes or gaps that may collect dirt or vermin and completing construction with softened, straight eduges that are not hazardous. 5. new construction shall be integrated with the existing utilities and systems. coordination with the owner and occupants will be required. 6. site clean-up shall be daily The period of performance of the resultant firm fixed price contract will begin on the day of issuance of Notice to Proceed, and continuing, if not otherwise terminated in accordance with the terms and conditions of this IFB, for 150 days.
