**As of May 11, 2023, this project has been awarded to New River Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc., in the amount of $52,458.24. Question to be submitted by 5:00 pm (Eastern Time) on March 21, 2023 (6 days prior to receipt of bids) Sealed bids are invited for the Roof Replacement Project on the Maintenance Shop and PE Building at Virginia Western Community College located in Roanoke, Virginia. This project is generally described as the replacement of approximately 4,300 SF (Contractor to verify) of shingle roof systems. Scope of work is to remove existing shingles and all underlayment to the wood deck and replacement with new complete shingle roof system including new gutters and downspouts as shown on the drawings meeting requirements listed in the specifications and all addenda. In person hand delivery is supported on bid day at the stated location. Building is open during regular business hours. All visitors need to sign in at the virtual receptionist (iPad on the wall in the main lobby.) Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using fax number (804) 819-4762 and copying sroberts@vccs.edu. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of bid amount. The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
