Renovation of a detention facility in East Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

A 5% bid bond is not required for this project. Performance and Payment Bonds are not required for this project The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded must comply with the requirements of G.S. Section 143-131, as amended. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days. Contractor to disconnect all load side conductors including feed from unit to convenience outlet, control wiring, and gas piping as needed for removal and disposal of three existing roof top packaged units, RTU #5, RTU #8, and RTU # 12. Contractor responsible for safe disposal of all above materials. o Contractor to provide all labor and materials required to completely execute the installation of three new packaged units with specifications listed below - o TU #5 - 7 1/2 -ton 3-phase 208/230v packaged unit o RTU # 8 - 10-ton 3-phase 208/230v packaged unit o RTU #12 - 5-ton 3-phase 208/230v packaged unit Contractor to provide alternate bid required to disconnect all load side conductors including feed from unit to convenience outlet, control wiring, and gas piping as needed for removal and disposal of one additional roof top packaged units, RTU #1. o Contractor to provide alternate bid to provide all labor and materials required to completely execute the installation of one additional packaged unit with specifications listed below: o RTU #1 - 5-ton 3-phase 208/230v packaged unit o Contractor to provide all new load side conductors from disconnect and new convenience outlet outside installed units if there is no outlet built into unit. o Contractor is responsible for confirming all new units are sized sufficiently for building size and occupant load and will fit on existing roof curb. o Contractor responsible for providing and installing curb adapter to fit new units if necessary and ensuring new curb adapters are weather tight and do not alter existing roofing design/flashing. o Contractor to furnish and install all new condensate pipe routed to nearest roof drain. o All equipment should be selected for 208/230v/3ph/60hz electrical service. o Contractor to replace load side conductors with new as required per manufacturer's spec and NEC. Conductors from disconnect to unit to be fed through appropriately sized liquid tight outdoor rated conduit. o Contractor to provide separately priced option to replace electrical disconnects and load side conductors with new, outdoor rated Square D fused disconnect, and new nameplate with all NEC required labeling on disconnect. o Contractor to provide detailed manufacturer's cut sheets for replacement units to owner prior to commencement of work. o Contractor to furnish all crane, rigging, and trucking as needed for this project and shall be responsible for any and all damage to equipment done during transportation, installation, and prior to turnover to Cumberland County. o Contractor responsible for protecting existing roof membrane during the course of installation. Any damage to existing roof membrane done during installation of units is to be repaired at Contractor's expense. o Contractor to provide copies of all permits required to complete work to owner upon request. No work shall commence until all appropriate permits have been issued. o Project will not be deemed complete until Contractor has passed all required inspections, and all Controls work has been completed and confirmed by County to be fully functioning. Payment will not be issued until project is deemed complete by County.
