The Town of Chautauqua, Chautauqua County, New York, will be accepting statements of qualifications from qualified firms to select up to a total of three "short-listed" consulting engineering firms to design, bid, administer and close-out projects as needed through a qualification-based process. The Town has been awarded a NYSEFC Environmental Planning Grant (EPG) to conduct a feasibility study and develop an engineering report to address the collection and treatment alternatives for the Chautauqua Lake Area. Findings of this study will be put into a NYSEFC Engineering Report for an Intended Use Plan listing and CWSRF application for eventual loan and grant assistance. The Town is also considering undertaking improvements to Water District #2, #4 and Sewer North Extension projects. If adequate funding is secured, it is the Town's intent to utilize one of the three short-listed firms selected for the EPG funded study. The Town may negotiate with one or more of the short-listed forms to complete additional work, including Water District #2, #4 and Sewer North Extension projects as needed. Please note, the Town may select different short-listed consultants to complete different projects. The selection of the consultants will be valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of Town Board approval and the Town reserves the right to renew selected consultant contracts for an additional three (3) years. To be evaluated properly, the following must be addressed in detail: Qualifications - Availability of qualified personnel and capacity of the firm to carry out professional engineering services.
Experience - Experience and technical expertise of the firm and its personnel as well as information regarding projects previously undertaken, including the types and cost of projects.
