DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Pursuant to Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, The City of North Miami Beach ("City") is soliciting Proposals from qualified Design-Build firm(s) or team(s) to assist with the final design, permitting, and construction of a water infrastructure improvement project for North Miami Beach Water. The project consists of the installation of approximately 2,800 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer pipe and two lift stations. Sanitary sewer flows will discharge to Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department's (MDWASD) sanitary sewer system at an existing manhole located on NE 183rd Street approximately 300 feet east of the intersection of NE 183rd Street and NE 18th Avenue. The flow from the NE 19th Avenue Business District would enter MDWASD's gravity system and flow to Pump Station 454 (PS-454). From there, it would eventually be directed to the North District Wastewater Treatment Plant for treatment and disposal. Q & A deadline: Mar 17, 2023 12:00:00 PM MDT SITE VISIT: There will be no official scheduled site visit to review the City's expectations for this project, the project background, or to discuss the overview of scope. It will be the sole responsibility of the Proposer to be familiar with the scope of the City's requirements and systems prior to submitting a Proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a Proposal will be considered evidence that the Proposer has familiarized themselves with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required. PROPOSAL SECURITY: A copy of the Proposal security must accompany the Proposal submitted electronically submission system. The Proposal security (original document) must be received by the Procurement Management Department, at 17011 NE 19th Avenue, Suite #305, North Miami Beach, Florida 33162, within 72 hours of the Proposal response due date. Proposal securities not received within 72 hours by the Procurement Management Department may render the Proposal non-responsive. Proposal security must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or surety bond payable to the City of North Miami Beach, Florida. Return of the Proposal security submitted by the awarded Proposer is conditioned upon the awarded Proposer submitting the specified performance and payment bond within (10) days of notice by the City. Failure or refusal of the awarded Proposer to submit a satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated will result in the forfeiture of the Proposal security. All other Proposal securities will be returned after the Agreement is executed, unless returned earlier, at the City's discretion. The City of North Miami Beach reserves the right to waive any informality in any or all Proposals and to reject any or all Proposals.
