The project consists of construction of a 250 LF taxiway connector and includes structural box construction to enclose a stream passage under the taxiway. Hot mix asphalt surface is proposed for the taxiway. The scope encompasses all site preparation, erosion control, drainage box construction, pavement section construction, electrical lighting installation, pavement markings, turfing and other related work as shown on the drawings and/or in the specifications. Each bid must be by a contractor licensed in Tennessee and accompanied by a 5% Bid Guarantee. In accordance with TCA 62-6-119, the Bidder, and where applicable, one contractor/subcontractor performing electrical work must have its license number, expiration date of the license, and that part of the classification applying to the bid shown on the outside of the envelope containing the bid. Failure to supply all information on the outside of the envelope will result in the return of the unopened envelope to the Bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. Liquidated damages for delay in contract completion shall be as stated in the Contract Documents. The DBE participation goal for this contract is 10% in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. A DBE Assurance Statement must accompany each bid for that bid to be considered.
