The City of Largo seeks to retain the services of a qualified licensed solar installation contractor to: perform a solar feasibility assessment, install contractor-proposed solar applications based on the findings of said solar feasibility assessment, and implement a system monitoring software. Due to standardization, the City of Largo of Largo will only consider proposals that include SMA Solar Technology AG's The Sunny Boy-US series of solar technology devices as part of their solar offerings. The location of this project is the City of Largo Environmental Services' Operations Building located at 5000 150th Avenue North, Clearwater, FL 33760. The contractor will be responsible for providing a solar solution and design for locations of solar installation at this site. The designs proposed by the contractor shall not be limited to roof mounted applications. The awarded contractor must provide options that will provide the most suitable solar applications to match the specified location, ensuring that the City is optimizing solar capacity the to its fullest potential. The contractor will be responsible for providing all hardware, equipment, labor and appurtenant materials and resources to install and manage the installation of the solar option selected by the City. The project must be completed no later than September of 2023. This project will result in the completion of the City's first major capital improvement solar installation project, an important first step towards the City of Largo's zero emissions by 2035 goal.
