Site work and new construction of a civil project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Design plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Stormwater green infrastructure projects use nature-based solutions to reduce recurring flooding and the effects of sea level rise. There are two projects under this and they will be designed and constructed together. Location A: Arrowhead Elementary School Marsh Restoration & Woods of Avalon Park - City-owned property, wetland restoration, living shorelines along the water's edge, floodplain restoration. Location B: Ferry Point Park and Carolanne Farms Neighborhood Park - City-owned property, wetland restoration, construct perimeter natural oyster reefs to reduce erosion of the marsh edge, floodplain restoration. Project is included City of Virginia Beach FY 2023 - 2028 CIP. As of March 1, 2023 design is underway. Advertise Invitation to bid anticipated in early 2024 and construction completion early 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
