Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The Owner is the City of Buffalo and the work site is located in the City of Buffalo. The project limits are: the South Park Loop Road Bridge and approach pavement reconstruction to accommodate the new bridge. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: o Demolition of the existing bridge o Construction of a new 20 ft. precast concrete arch bridge on pile foundations on a similar alignment as the existing 20 ft. concrete arch bridge o Construction of a temporary bridge will be installed to detour pedestrian, bicyclists and golf carts around the construction site o Provide a new bridge that matches the historic character of the existing bridge o Reconstruction/resurfacing of the approach roadway in proximity to the bridge o Installation of new lamp posts adjacent to the project bridge o Maintenance and Protection of Traffic o All other labor and material necessary or proper for performing and completing the work. This is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on January 1, 2023 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website must be followed by the successful bidder. The DBE goal for this project is: 5% NOTE: Bidders must submit their DBE Participation Commitments on Company Letterhead with the bid.
