Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Poughkeepsie, New York. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.

For the Central Dutchess Water Transmission Line (CDWTL), DC Airport Water Line, and HV Regional Airport. Based on recommendations of a 2021 Intermunicipal Water Storage Study (funded by County MIG) which assessed storage volume needed, siting considerations, potential sites, and estimates of probable cost for selected options for a shared storage facility for the DCWWA and towns of Poughkeepsie and Pleasant Valley. The study recommends construction of a 5 million gallon welded steel storage tank adjacent to the existing Town of Poughkeepsie Route 44 Storage Tank. Expected County share of funding will be $53,500 to be requested in 2024. The project is included in the Dutchess County 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of May 20, 2024, information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
