CR#: 2129997 The work location includes the loading dock underpass and the adjoining ramps of the Nassau County Supreme Court building as well as the walkways along the North, East, West and South sides of the Supreme Court building. The scope of work includes rehabilitating the brick face and coping stones of the ramp walls, applying new waterproofing above the underpass structure, rehabilitating regions of deterioration concrete structural slab and concrete encased steel beams of the underpass, replacing existing drainage inlets, and piping at the loading dock and above the underpass at the south plaza/walkway, upgrading/replacing existing lighting elements/fixtures in loading dock ramp walls and above at south plaza/walkway, milling existing concrete pavement of loading dock ramps and perform repairs and seal pavement of the entire loading dock region and ramps, replacing existing bluestone pavers walkways and concrete pavements lobby areas with new stamped/imprinted concrete pavement, landscaping at the south plaza/walkway, painting existing fire sprinkler piping. Bids shall be based upon a Notice to Proceed (NTP) to be issued in the 4th quarter of 2026. No interpretation of the meaning of the Drawings, Specifications or other Contract Documents will be made to any Bidder orally. Prospective bidders must request in writing such an interpretation from the Commissioner and such interpretation will be given in writing in the form of written addenda, to all prospective bidders, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, Item G. Contract Term: 365 calendar days This Contract will be subject to Nassau County Local Laws No. 14-2002, "Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts," which requires submission of a Utilization plan prior to the award of a County contract, No. 2-2016, "Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts," and No. 9-2002, as amended by No. 3-2015, which require that firms entering into contracts with Nassau County must participate in registered and approved apprenticeship training programs unless such requirement are supplanted by requirements specified in the bidding instructions. At the time of bid submission, the Contractor shall submit, as part of its bid, documents in compliance with Title 51 of the Nassau County Miscellaneous Laws demonstrating participation in approved apprenticeship training programs that are appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed pursuant to the Contract. Such apprenticeship training programs appropriate for the scope of this Contract shall include, but are not limited to the following: Laborers, Electricians, Carpenter, Operating Engineer, and/or any other trade appropriate for the type of work proposed. The apprenticeship training programs shall be registered with, and approved by, the New York State Commissioner of Labor in accordance with Article 23 of the New York State Labor Law. Note that if the Contractor does not comply with these requirements, the Commissioner may declare the Contractor's bid proposal non-responsive and award the Contract to the next lowest responsible Bidder.
