Contract Id: ME00022 WBS Element No.: Various County: Durham, Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance, Wake & Warren County Type of Work: Traffic Control This contract is for installation of work zone traffic control devices, on state maintained highways on an "As Needed Basis" for projects in Wake County with Durham, Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren Counties. The Contractor will also be responsible for shoulder, one lane closures and multiple lane closures on various roadway facilities, including interstate facilities as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor must be able to provide a minimum of two simultaneous lane closures, potentially in separate counties. All work and materials shall be in accordance with the provisions of the General Guidelines of this contract, the Project Special Provisions, the North Carolina Department of Transportation 2018 Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures, the North Carolina Department of Transportation 2018 Roadway Standards Drawings, and the current edition of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), with the exception that bid bonds are not required. Bid Bonds Are Not Required. All bids shall be prepared and submitted in accordance with the following requirements. Failure to comply with any requirement may cause the bid to be considered irregular and may be grounds for rejection of the bid. The Bidder shall not add any provision reserving the right to accept or reject an award, or to enter into a contract pursuant to an award. Prospective bidders shall obtain prequalification approval at least two business days prior to any letting in which they intend to submit a bid. It is recommended that the prospective bidder file all required statements and documents with the State Prequalifications Engineer no less than 4 weeks before a given letting. The date of availability for this contract is April 26, 2023. The completion date for this contract is April 25, 2024.
