Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Dublin Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project involves the removal and replacement of all electrical components, control equipment, pumps, and railings in the existing wet well; the removal and replacement of all valves, piping, and fittings in the existing wet well; installation of remote alarming equipment; all associated wiring, excavation, and disposal; trenching and site work; bypass pumping of sewage flows throughout the course of the project; and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. A certified check, payable to the order of the County of Huntingdon, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Bidders for this contract shall have completed projects similar in character and scope and will be required to provide with their Bid with all documents included in the Bid Package. The County may reject bids that do not include the executed documents specified above with the bid form. As a prospective bidder see the Project Bid Package including but not limited to Project Manual/Bid Package and Technical Drawings and (Construction) Specifications for detailed information, responsibilities, and instructions. The bidders must provide documentary evidence of Section 3 business concerns and minority and women business enterprises who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices and related matters. The Huntingdon County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. AWARD CRITERIA AND BASIS FOR REJECTION will be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders included in the Project Manual/Bid Package. Federal Labor Standards provisions found in HUD Form 4010 and Davis-Bacon/Related Acts apply to this Project. All RFIs should be faxed or emailed to the Engineer\Designer. Contract will be awarded at the Huntingdon County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, March 14th at 9:30 AM. The purpose of this project is to provide necessary upgrades to the SGAJMA Pump Station No. Specific construction activities include: -Installation of new bypass pump features - Installation of two (2) submersible pumps and control - Installation of new discharge piping and valves - Installation of all monitoring equipment and electrical site work associated with the completion of the project Site address is located at the intersection of Main Street and Croghan Pike (S.R. 522) in Dublin Township, Huntingdon County, PA. Contractor shall provide all labor, services, materials, equipment, and incidental costs necessary for the performance, testing, start up, and completion of the Work. All required work elements not specifically addressed in this section and the Bid Schedule shall be incidental to the Contract and no additional payment shall be made to the Contractor for such elements. Costs for such elements shall be worked into the Bid. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
