Renovation of a library in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The Houston Public Library is seeking to contract with a company to modify and refinish existing furniture from the Heights Neighborhood Library. Modify two (2) rectangular tables (72” x 42”) to become a single 12’ x 42” long table (join and lock in the middle). Contractor to provide and install locking/joining mechanism for tables. Laminate table with WilsonArt Designer White laminate on top and sides (solid core laminate with a white core) Install 8 pop up power grommets (4 on each table) spaced out evenly (rough design below) Power grommets should have two power outlets, USB-A and USB-C ports (example shown) Install two (2) custom privacy screens (60” wide x 18” high, with a 1-1/2” diameter rounded corners on the top) centered onto each section of table (panels to be made from 3Form Varia Paper Lane (3/8” thickness) Privacy screen panel brackets should be chrome (to match table legs) and should mount into the desk top. Privacy screen should be secured into panel brackets. If there are discrepancies in the specifications, the Contractor shall ask for a clarification from the City prior to bid opening. If no clarification is requested, the City’s judgement shall rule.
