Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Long Beach, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of May 8, 2023, an award has not yet been made. Per the owner, bid results will not be made available until after the award is announced. No time-frame is available for when this project will be awarded. Construction of 1.25 MG Park Place Elevated Tank Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5% Contract term: 18 Months Location: Park Place, Long Beach NY Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Securitv in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. No later than forty-five (45) days after the bid opening, the Municipality shall accept bids or reject all bids. After the bid opening, a bid may not be withdrawn prior to the date that is forty-five (45) days after such bid opening. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and advertise for new bids, if in its opinion the best interest of the Municipality will hereby be promoted. No bid will be considered from any person who is in arrears to the City, or who is in default as surety or otherwise upon any obligation to the City, nor shall a bid be considered from any contractor whose performance on any previous contract with the City has been unsatisfactoiy in the opinion of the City Council. A contractor whose performance has been unsatisfactory shall not be deemed a responsible qualified bidder. Bidders must satisfy themselves by personal examination of the site of the proposed work and shall not at any time after the submission of a bid or proposal, dispute or complain nor assert that there was any misunderstanding in regard to the nature or amount of the work to be performed. CR Number: 2095642 The Work to be done under this Contract and in accordance with these Specifications and Drawings consists of furnishing of plant equipment, superintendents, labor, skill, material and all other items necessary for the construction related to the 1.25 MG Park Place Elevated Tank (Contract No. C-951)in Long Beach, NY. The Contractors shall perform all Work required for such construction in accordance with the Contract Documents and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract, complete and ready for use. B. The Work to be done under this Contract shall be the responsibility of one (1) Prime Contractor skilled in the work described within the designated Divisions. The Prime Contractor may subcontract such work as required, but the entire responsibility for complete performance of the Contract shall remain with the Prime Contractor. C. Whenever used in these Contract Documents, the term "Engineer" shall refer to the firm of D&B Engineers and Architects, D.P.C., acting directly, or through properly authorized agents, such agents acting within the scope of the particular duties entrusted to them. D. The Plans and Specifications are intended to agree, and anything shown or called for on the Plans and not mentioned in the Specifications or vice versa, or any work or materials necessary to and usually included in the complete finish of the work, and/or materials or the character to be furnished by the Contractor, shall be considered to be furnished by the Contractor without any extra charge, as though the same were both shown and specified The work to be completed under Contract No. C-951 includes, but may not be limited to the following: a. Provide field engineering and surveying services. b. Furnishing and installing temporary facilities and utilities in accordance with Project Specifications. c. Maintenance of plant operation for the duration of the work. d. Design and installation of storage tank including tank structure foundation, concrete support pedestal, floor, piping, valves, and associated accessories to connect to existing site piping. Contractor is responsible for reviewing the subsurface condition reports to inform foundation design. e. Perform dewatering and all obtain all associated required permits to complete the work. f. Perform vibration monitoring during subsurface work. g. Coordinate with other contractors on site to perform water main tie-in in or near Water Street. h. Coordinate with utilities to perform relocation of utility poles, cables, and other equipment as necessary for safe completion of the work. i. Install and maintain erosion and sedimentation control measures for the duration of work. j. Removal and replacement of unsuitable fill. k. Provide all site utilities, including but not limited to, water, drainage including coordination with and obtaining any required permits and approvals from utility companies, as shown on the Contract Drawings and specified herein. l. SCADA and control modifications as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified herein. m. Electrical work as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified herein. n. Flush, disinfect, and test all new pipes and new tank in compliance with the Nassau County Health Department requirements. o. Removal of temporary facilities and site restoration as required and shown on the Contract Drawings and specified herein. p. The work also includes earthwork, construction of curbs and sidewalks, fencing, new gates, and site restoration as shown on the Contract Drawings. q. All components, appurtenances, accessories, pipes, valves, conduit required for a complete and operational system shall be included in the work of this contract to provide a complete installation for startup, commissioning, training and be ready to be placed into service upon receipt of approvals from NCDH. Any reply to such an inquiry, including the initial questions, will be communicated by Addendum to all bidders who have obtained the Contract Documents. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Engineer. Any inquiry received seven (7) or more days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids will be given consideration
