The City of Cape Coral will receive bids for ITB # BUT2347KR - Gleason Parkway Installation of Fiber Optics Conduit and Force Main. The general work outline includes the following: A. The installation of approximately 7,640 feet of a new six-inch (6") force main (Fiber Optic and Force Main (WAS)) along Gleason Parkway, beginning at the 6-inch plug valve at SW 15th Avenue and ending at the existing force main (WAS line) at Pelican Blvd, along with all associated valves, fittings, air release valves, tracer components, and all necessary restoration and site work. The new force main includes 7,540 feet of HDPE pipe via directional drill installation, one (1) crossing at the Enterprise Canal via directional drill installation with underground pipeline signage; one (1) aerial crossing at Courtney Canal with 100 feet of ductile iron pipe, 50 feet of casing pipe, and associated appurtenances as shown on the Drawings. B. The installation of approximately 10,500 feet of HDPE and PVC fiber optic conduits along Gleason Parkway, including pull boxes, warning signs, and tone wire, beginning at SW 15TH Avenue and ending near the southeast corner of Gleason Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard as shown on the Drawings. The installation also includes two (2) aerial crossings at the Enterprise and Courtney Canals with steel conduits. C. The relocation of approximately 580 feet of 3-inch irrigation main and 270 feet of 4-inch irrigation main, and installation of approximately 250 feet of new 4-inch irrigation main, along Gleason Parkway as shown on the plans for the force main installation. The irrigation main relocation and installation also includes associated valves, fittings, tracer components, and all necessary restoration and site work. D. The relocation of approximately 200 feet of 6-inch Sanitary Force main along Gleason Parkway as shown on the plans for the fiber optic conduit installation.
