The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 25865.00 Location: In Waldo County, project is located: Map ID 1 is in Morrill, Waldo, and Belfast on the Poors Mill Road beginning at the intersection with Route 131 and extending easterly 5.87 miles. Includes milling and paving Bridge #s 3023 & 5558. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 2 and 6 are in Swanville, Searsport, and Frankfort on the North Searsport Road beginning at the intersection with Route 141 and extending northeasterly to the Mount Ephraim Road, then continuing northerly to the Loggin Road. Map ID 3 is in Searsmont, Montville and Liberty on Route 173 beginning at the junction with Route 131 and extending northwesterly to the intersection with Route 220. Includes milling and paving Bridge #s 3493, 3970, & 5153. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 4 is in Searsport on the Mount Ephraim Road beginning at the intersection with Route 1 and extending northerly to the intersection with the North Searsmont Road. Includes milling and paving Bridge # 5640. Map ID 5 is in Belmont, Morrill, Waldo, and Swanville on Route 131 beginning at the intersection with the Route 3 and extending northeasterly to the junction with Route 141. Includes milling and paving Bridge # 2455. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 7 is in Brooks, Knox, and Thorndike on Route 139 beginning 0.24 of a mile west of the intersection with Route 7 miles and extending westerly to the intersection with Route 220. Includes milling and paving Bridge #s 2007, 2154, 2945, & 5139. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 8 is in Unity on Route 139 beginning at the northern junction with Route 220 and extending westerly to the northern junction with Route 202 /9. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 9 is in Waldo, Brooks, and Knox on Route 137 beginning at the intersection with Route 131 and extending northwesterly 1.58 miles. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 10 is in Lincolnville on Route 173 beginning 0.13 of a mile east of Route 1 and extending westerly to the southern junction with Route 52. Map ID 11 is in Winterport, Monroe, and Brooks on Route 139 beginning 3.73 miles southwesterly of Route 69 and extending southwesterly to Route 7. Includes milling and paving Bridge # 5224. Includes paving shoulders. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the Maine DOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - (LCP)Light Capital Paving - Searsmont Area - Region 2 Bids will be accepted from all bidders. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: the Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence.
