The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and any other fees for the installation of the 6-foot-wide pathway described in the attached diagram for The Arlington Water Utilities Department. The contractor would be responsible for disposable of any spoil material. The 6-foot-wide pathway be made from decomposed granite and any base materials needed to ensure that the surface be "firm, stable and slip-resistant" as defined by ADA guidelines. The path area is to have approximately 2" of soil removed. A 4" metal edging will be installed along the edges of the path and a 20-year weed barrier will be installed over the excavated area. 3" of new decomposed granite will be installed over this area and be compacted in 1.5" lifts with a plate compactor The Citys MWBE goal, for this project is 10%. The City reserves the right to make a bid award to either one vendor or to multiple vendors, whichever is in the best interest of the City. If the award is made to multiple vendors, it will be either as one vendor being the primary vendor or by line item listed on the pricing section Construction described shall be completed by June 30, 2023. The intent of this solicitation is for the installation of the 486 linear foot winding pathway as shown in the attached diagram for the Arlington Water Utilities Department. The City of Arlington strongly encourages bidders to submit their response to this bid electronically. If submitting a paper bid, it must be submitted in a sealed envelope or package and labeled with the company name, solicitation number and title. Late bids will not be accepted.
