As of August 9, 2024, construction is underway. Construction started about two months ago. All trades have been awarded. The owner has selected a Construction Manager. Job Number: 2010.25, 2006.4 The work involved shall include the following: The Project includes a 4-gate, 73,000 square foot addition and a 5-gate 113,00 square foot existing building renovation (there will be 9-gates total upon completion). This includes reconfiguring interior spaces, updating/replacing finishes and updating building systems in the existing terminal, and construction of the Terminal expansion (east). The Project will need to be phased. Some of the more sensitive operational priorities include maintaining the operation of 5 gates at all times throughout construction. The existing security checkpoint will need to be relocated in a manner that will maintain operation during airport public hours and work with a TSA approved contractor to coordinate the relocation once the new space is ready. Phasing was developed with the intent of minimizing disruptions to existing operations and keeping all five gates open throughout construction.
