As of June 5 2023 there was no bidders for this project, the owners will rebid in 2024. Wilder Exterior Painting Project to take place at Wilder Apartments (1607 Wilder Ave., Helena, MT 59601). Wilder Apartments Inc. is a component unit of the Helena Housing Authority. Bid opening is open to the public and bidders are encouraged to attend. A tabulation of the bids received will be available within a reasonable time after Tuesday, April 4, 2023, with tentative approval by the Wilder Apartments Inc. Board of Directors to take place on the evening of Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Once approved, a contract may be issued to the winning bidder as soon as Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Results will be faxed or mailed to interested parties upon written request made attention to Michael M. O’Neil, Wilder Apartments Inc. Contracting Officer / Executive Director, Helena Housing Authority. Contractors can view the contract information through the Montanan Plans Exchange. Physical bid packets will be made available to interested parties who contact Crossman Whitney Bids shall be submitted on the BID FORM provided within the IFB packet, signed, sealed, and addressed to Michael M. O’Neil, Wilder Apartments’ Contracting Officer, c/o Helena Housing Authority, 812 Abbey St., Helena, MT 56901, with a clear notation on the front indicating “Bid Documents for: HHA-FY23-IFB-002: Wilder Exterior Painting Project”. Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing via physical mail or email to Matt Avard (mavard @cwg-architects.com) by 5:00PM MST Thursday, March 23, 2023, so that responses/clarifications may be provided to all potential responding parties in advance of the submittal deadline on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Wilder Apartments Inc. has estimated this project may cost in excess of $25,000 and therefore requires a bid security in the amount of 10%. Successful Bidder shall furnish an approved performance and materials and labor bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. Each bidder will be required to have a current Montana Public Contractor’s License. All subcontractors, for work over one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) must also be holders of a current Montana Public Contractor’s License in the appropriate classification. The contractor must maintain and provide evidence of Workers Compensation coverage or State of Montana Independent Contractor’s Exemption and general liability insurance of not less than $1,000,000.00 per occurrence. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after April 4, 2023. After award of a contract under this solicitation, and prior to the start of work, the successful bidder will be required to attend a pre-construction conference with representatives of Wilder Apartments Inc. and other interested parties. Wilder Apartments Inc. will provide the successful bidder with the date, time, and place of the conference. Wilder Apartments Inc. reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
