The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 25855.00 Location: In Androscoggin, Cumberland, and Oxford Counties, project is located: Map ID 1 and Map ID 3 are in Yarmouth and Cumberland on the Lafayette Street and the Foreside Road, beginning at the Cumberland/Falmouth town line and extending northerly to the Urban Compact line in Yarmouth. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 2 is in Cumberland on the Kings Highway beginning at the Foreside Road and extending westerly to the intersection with the Tuttle Road. Map ID 4 is in Gray and New Gloucester on the Depot Road beginning at the intersection with Route 115 and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 231. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID S is in Gray on the North Raymond Road beginning at the intersection with the Mayberry Road and extending northerly to the intersection with the Egypt Road. Map ID 6 is in Westbrook on Stroudwater Street beginning at the Urban Compact Line and extending southerly to the Westbrook/Portland town line. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 7 is in Otisfield and Harrison on the Bolster's Mills Road beginning at the intersection with Route 121 and extending northerly with the intersection of Route 117. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving bridge #3475 Map ID 8 is in Auburn on the Hotel Road beginning at the intersection with Crest Avenue and extending northerly to the intersection with the Taywood Road. Map ID 9 is in Poland, and Mechanic Falls on Route 11 beginning at the intersection with Route 26 and extending northerly to the intersection of Route 11/121. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving bridge #5009 and milling and paving under bridge #0055. Map ID 10 is in Oxford on Route 121 beginning at the Otisfield/Oxford town line and extending northeasterly to the intersection with Route 26. Includes paving shoulders and milling and paving bridge #3738. Map ID 11 is in Oxford on the Roller Rink Road beginning at the intersection with Route 121 and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 26. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the Maine DOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - (LCP)Light Capital Paving - Gray Area - Region 1 Bids will be accepted from all bidders. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: the Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence.
