The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Highway Construction or Paving Prequalification, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: WIN 25877.00 Location: In Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties, project is located: Map ID 1 is in Milford, Greenbush, and Greenfield on the Greenfield Road beginning at the intersection with Route 2 and extending easterly to the intersection with the Crocker Tum Road. Map ID 2 is in Milo, Omeville, and Lagrange on Route 6 / 16 beginning 0.32 miles south of Cedar Lane and extending southeasterly to 0.05 miles west of the intersection with the Medford Road. Includes paving shoulders. Map ID 3 is in Howland, Mattamiscontis, Maxfield, and Seboeis on Water Street, North Howland Road and Seboeis Road beginning 0.04 miles north of the intersection with Front Street and extending northerly to 0.03 miles north of the intersection with the Haskell Road. Includes paving shoulders and milling bridge underpasses, bridges #1418 and #6070. Map ID 4 is in Milo, Medford, Maxfield, and Howland on Joe Raymond Road, Patty Hill Road, Medford Center Road, River Road, and Maxfield Road beginning at the intersection of Route 6 / 16 and extending easterly to the intersection with Route 6 / 16. Map ID 5 is in Brownville on the Schoodic Lake Road beginning at the intersection with Church Street and extending easterly to the intersection with Cove End Road and Lake A venue. Map ID 6 is in Milo and Brownville on Pleasant Street, Lakeview Road, Stanchfield Ridge Road, and Stickney Hill Road beginning at the intersection with Park Street and extending northerly to the intersection with Church Street. Includes paving shoulders Map ID 7 is in Brownville on Church Street beginning at the intersection with Route 11 and extending northerly to the intersection with Route 11. Includes paving shoulders. Outline of Work: Light Capital Paving and other incidental work. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the Maine DOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - (LCP)Light Capital Paving - Howland Area - Region 4 Bids will be accepted from all bidders. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: the Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence.
