The lady I spoke with was not able to provide the awarded amount. ** Sidewalk Repairs-2023 The Town of Cedar Point is seeking proposals for the following Sidewalk Improvements: Replacement of 65 segments of existing sidewalk located along Cedar Point Blvd. The Town of Cedar Point intends to negotiate a contract with the Contractor offering the best proposal. The goal of such negotiations is to reach agreement on a proposal based on the costs, time for completion, and the quality of previous/similar work completed. Bids must be received by the Town no later , in order to receive consideration. If a contract is not concluded within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals, the Town reserves the right to terminate all negotiations and select another contractor's proposal or issue a new RFP. The contractor shall be able to complete the job no later than sixty (60) days after any contract execution. Issuance of this RFP does not commit the Town of Cedar Point to award a contract, or to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a proposal pursuant to this RFP. The Town of Cedar Point reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality or technicality of a proposal. Based upon a recent review of the condition of the Town's sidewalks, the Town is looking to contract with a firm/individual to replace 65 sidewalk segments in which tripping hazards are present. For purposes of this RFP, a segment shall refer to a full width portion of sidewalk between two existing control/expansion joints. Replacement shall mean the removal and disposal of the identified segment of concrete and the installation of new Class A unreinforced concrete with a minimum thickness of five (5) inches of the same width, length, and shape as the section removed. Unless stated otherwise, each replaced segment shall be installed at the same grade as the segment it is replacing. The contractor is responsible for ensuring adequate support and compaction of the underlying soil prior to placement of new concrete to reduce risk of future cracking. All work shall conform to the standards set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act.
