Georgia State University (GSU, Using Agency ), is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from Mechanical Contracting firms interested in providing services for the project known as Project No. S003-041-23, Decatur Campus, SC Building, Mechanical Upgrades at Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to identify the most qualified potential providers of the above-mentioned services. Firms determined by the Owner to be the most qualified for this project, will be invited to offer Competitive Sealed Bids for these services. All respondents to this RFQ are subject to instructions communicated in this document and additional terms and conditions listed in the Owners Request for Qualifications / Request for Competitive Sealed Bids (RFQ/RFP). GSU reserves the right to reject any or all statements of qualifications or proposals, and to waive technicalities and informalities at the discretion of GSU. Project Background Georgia State University will be upgrading the existing HVAC system to its SC Building located on GSU's Decatur Campus located at 3251 Panthersville Road, Decatur, GA 30034. Project Description The scope of work for this project will include removal of existing air handling units and DX system equipment located on the roof of the SC Building. The demolition scope will also include the removal of an existing air handling unit located within the building. The new HVAC system will require the install of a new air-cooled chiller and new chilled water roof top units. The new chiller will require a new support platform along with structural modifications to the building. New curbs and associated structural modifications will be required for the new rooftop units as well.
