The Project includes the following Work: Installation of landscape planting, seeding, irrigation, pet waste stations, stone steps, boulders, and furnishings. Bidders are hereby advised the Owner reserves the right to not award a Contract until sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of Bids, and Bidders expressly agree to keep their Bids open for the sixty (60) day time period. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality, technicality or irregularity in any Bid, to disregard all non-conforming, nonresponsive, conditional or alternate Bids, to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, to require statements or evidence of Bidders' qualifications, including financial statements, and to accept the proposal that is, in the opinion of the Owner, in its best interest. Owner also reserves the right to extend the Bidding period by Addendum if it appears in its interest to do so. It is bound on the south side by the St. Vrain River and the lakes alluded to in its name. This is the first of several regional parks, generally characterized by landscape and park elements on the existing peninsula jutting out into Barefoot Lakes. The Filing No. 4 landscape area is approximately 37 acres. The scope of work include large areas of prairie-style meadows and swaths of trees and shrubs, a park with furniture, paths and planting, monumentation and signage, fencing and irrigation. Civil engineering drawings (not a part of this bid) include horizontal and vertical control for the roads, utilities, sidewalks and trails, as well as grading and erosion control plans. Earthwork and utilities will be performed under a separate contract. In general, it is anticipated that the rough grading will be delivered to within 2/10 of a foot, which will suffice for most areas except as noted in the fine grading plans. The drawings and specifications are provided in one package for comprehensiveness. Bidders will have the option of bidding on any of the distinct portions of the project listed below. For convenience, we have listed pertinent drawing sections for each scope of work, but contractors are responsible for identifying the relevant specification sections, and confirming that they have the relevant drawings.
