The City of Coachella (City) has prepared this Request for Proposals (RFP) and is requesting proposals from qualified and interested consultants or firms1 (Proposers) to provide professional Building & Safety services, specifically with expertise in Building & Safety plan check review and inspection services. Elements of the consultants duties in which services may be required will be under the direct oversight of the City Building Official or Director of Community Development. The principal contact for the City will be Lizzandro Diaz, Building Official, (442) 400-5751, (ldiaz@coachella.org) or a designated representative, who will coordinate the assistance to be provided by the City to the Proposer. All questions, requests for interpretations or clarifications, either administrative or technical must be requested in writing and directed to the City Contact, identified above. All written questions, if answered, will be answered in writing, conveyed to all interested firms. Oral statements by any persons should be considered unverified information unless confirmed in writing. To ensure a response, questions must be received in writing by 2:00 p.m. local time five (5) working days prior to the proposal deadline City reserves the right to cancel this request for proposals at any time prior to contract award without obligation in any manner for proposal preparation, interview, fee negotiation or other associated marketing costs. The award of this agreement is subject to receipt funds adequate to carry out the provisions of the proposed agreement included in the identified Scope of Work. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
