However, we plan to rebid this project in the very near future The Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) is currently soliciting bids for QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR(S) services for the Renovation To Fire Damaged Dwelling Unit At College Hill Courts. Please refer to the attached files for the scope of work and to complete the bid package requirements. Questions Due Date: Mar 17th 2023, 2:00 PM EDT Intent to Bid Due Date: Mar 22nd 2023, 2:00 PM EDT The following eight (8) pages lists the scope of work for the renovation of the fire damaged unit. Contractor to include in their bid all labor, materials, equipment, and associated accessories to complete the total renovation of the damaged unitLead Based Paint and Asbestos Abatement Information Lead Based Paint (LBP) Abatement and Encapsulation Asbestos Abatement Materials and Products to be used 2/17/2023 Page:1 Contractor is to include in their bid the abatement and encapsulation of known components which have tested positive for LBP. Contractor is to use a Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) approved licensed abatement contractor to perform the LBP work. Following is the list of LBP components and how to address: Contractor is to submit to CHA the documentation that all clearance testing has passed and the LBP waste was properly disposal of. Contractor is to include in their bid the abatement of the existing asbestos containing VCT flooring and mastic. Contractor is to use a Chattanooga Housing Authority (CHA) approved licensed abatement contractor to perform the asbestos work. All materials to be used on this project shall meet or exceed the original type and quality. Doors, cabinets, trim, etc. shall be plywood, solid wood products, or a combination of both. Plumbing fixtures shall be Moen to match existing. CHA to approve all materials prior to being used including paint type and finishes. Contractor to include in the bid the hiring and scheduling of a firm to perform clearance testing that is acceptable to the Chattanooga Housing Authority. Contractor is to submit to CHA the documentation that all clearance testing has passed and the asbestos waste was properly disposal of. The following eight (8) pages lists the scope of work for the renovation of the fire damaged unit. Contractor to include in their bid all labor, materials, equipment, and associated accessories to complete the total renovation of the damaged unit. Contractor to include in the bid the hiring and scheduling of a firm to perform clearance testing that is acceptable to the Chattanooga Housing Authority. o All baseboards are to be treated as having LBP. Baseboard listed to be removed and replaced (R&R) are to be handled and disposed of as LBP construction debris. o All window lintels are to be treated as LBP positive. Contractor to follow all LBP regulations while replacing existing windows as required by the scope of work.
