CONTRACT - Landscaping and grounds maintenance services at three facilities in Fort Lee, New Jersey 07024 for Calendar Year 2023 with option for additional years. All work necessary and incidental thereto in accordance with the Contract Documents. The award is solicited in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.) and a contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Failure by a Bidder to inspect the work sites prior to submission of its bid will, in no way, relieve selected Bidder of its responsibility to perform all work required under the Contract Documents. Bids may also be submitted in sealed envelopes marked on the exterior with the words "Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance Services" by USPS mail or common carrier to: Fort Lee Housing Authority, Attention: Peggy McQuade, 1403 Teresa Drive, Fort Lee, NJ 07024 but Bidders are advised that USPS and common carriers may deliver documents after 1:00pm and that it is Bidder's sole responsibility to ensure delivery of its Bid by the bid deadline. Sealed envelope Bids may also be delivered by hand in person inside the Authority's office or may be deposited into the lock box located at the exterior entrance of the above address. The lock box will be emptied at 1:00pm on the date of bid opening. Any bid in the lock box at that date and time will be deemed submitted on time. Bidders must be fully licensed, certified and insured to perform all of the work required under the Contract Documents and must be authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Any Bidder that is a corporation not chartered under the laws of the State of New Jersey must submit an affidavit certifying that said corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders, their subcontractors and suppliers, must comply with the State of New Jersey Business Registration requirements. Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1999, c.238, "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act", which became effective on April 11, 2000. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1975, c. 127, which pertains to "Non-Discrimination" and "Affirmative Actions", Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended and Public Law 1977, c.33 which requires a statement of Corporate Ownership.
