A. Project Name: City of Watertown Water Main Replacement Project B. The sites are located in the City of Watertown on Barben Avenue, Holcomb Street, Bugbee Drive, and East Street in Jefferson County, New York. Contractor shall provide all required transportation of materials and personnel to the site. C. The work of this project includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, appliances, tools, and equipment to provide and install approximately 4,900 LF of Ductile Iron Water main, including all HDPE water services, water system appurtenances, and all other associated work. The Engineers are Patrick J. Scordo, P.E, and Kevin M. Bamann, P.E. E. OWNER: Wherever the word OWNER appears it shall refer to the City of Watertown, Jefferson County, New York; contact person Mr. Michael Delaney, P.E., City Engineer (315) 785-7740. The successful contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, baring those being supplied by the City of Watertown, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of not less than five per centum (5%) of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided for in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the total amount of the accepted bid and in such form and having as surety thereon such surety company or companies as are approved by the City Council. Insurance carrier must have principal office in New York State or be authorized to do business in New York State. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract.
