The City of Marlborough ("City"), the Awarding Authority, invites bids from contractors for the Sewer Rehabilitation Project at Various Locations in Marlborough, Massachusetts, CONTRACT NO. ED 2023-13 for the Department of Public Works-Engineering Division in accordance with the documents prepared by the City of Marlborough. The project consists of cementitious manhole rehabilitation (396 VF) and installing 10,160 FT of cured-in-place pipe within 6", 8", 10", 12", 21" and 24" clay sewer mains, including all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work. The estimated project cost is $787,175.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, 26 through 27H inclusive. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Each sealed electronic bid shall be submitted on the prescribed forms. Bids will be available immediately for public view at the date and time stated above online at portal. Bids shall be clearly identified as per instructions at portal. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than five (5%) percent of the value of the bid in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39 M (a), and made payable to the City of Marlborough, the Awarding Authority. The Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond shall be: a)with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to Owner; b)conditional upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the Bid; and c)submitted with your E-Bid online at portal. In lieu of and ONLY IN LIEU OF an insurance Bid Bond certificate submitted as outlined above (items a. through c.), a Bid Security in the form of cash, or a certified check, treasurer's, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Owner must be submitted with a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form and received by the Owner before the time of bidding.
