Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Waco, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; for paving for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is issuing this RFP to construct new sidewalks for pedestrian access from Griffith Hall to the Student Services Center. The project includes tree clearing and demolition of existing hardscaping and sidewalks; sidewalk improvements that include the installation of approximately 160 LF of dual 5-foot sidewalk, approximately 390 LF of single 5-foot sidewalk, and approximately 100 LF of 5-foot "forklift path" sidewalk that includes additional flat work and curb ramp; installation of two concrete slabs for picnic areas; drainage improvements that includes the installation of approximately 440 LF of 12-inch and 18-inch HDPE storm drain pipe and appurtenances; and grading and hydromulching to restore the project area. If a SIGNED Execution of Offer and HUB Subcontracting Plan is not submitted the bid will be disqualified. TSTC does anticipate the contract to exceed $100,000 and will require that a HUB Subcontracting Plan be submitted. Suppliers are not required to meet the State of Texas HUB goals however, TSTC requires that all suppliers make a good faith effort in achieving those goals.
