This Request for Quotation is an invitation by the Corporation of Norfolk County to prospective Bidders to submit bids from qualified contractors to complete several window replacements at the Waterford Fire Hall Question Deadline 03/09/2023 at 4:00 PM ET Documents can be obtained at website. Questions related to this quote should be submitted to the Purchasing representative through the Bidding System only by clicking on the Submit a Question button for this specific bid opportunity. Bidders and their representatives are not permitted to contact any employees, officers, agents, elected or appointed officials or other representatives of Norfolk County, other than the RFQ Contact, concerning matters regarding this RFQ. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in the disqualification of the Bidder and the rejection of the Bidder's quotation. The successful Bidder will be required to enter into a contract with Norfolk County for the provision of the Deliverables based on the Contract Terms and Conditions set out in Attachment 'A' to the RFQ (the "Agreement"). It is Norfolk County's intention to enter into the Agreement with only one (1) legal entity. The work will commence only after written instruction from Norfolk County, and is expected to begin on or around April 17, 2023. Project Background Norfolk County has identified the need to replace the existing windows at the Waterford Fire Hall. Location - Waterford Fire Hall (Norfolk County Fire Station No. 3), 294 Main Street South, Waterford, ON, N0E 1Y0. Window locations are as follows: i. North Side of Building Three (3) Upper Windows: 55" (inches) wide X 37 3/4 " high. ii. South Side of Building Three (3) Lower Windows: Two (2) 60" wide X 37 1/4 " high, One (1) 65 1/4 " wide X 41" high. One (1) Upper Window: 53" wide X 36" high. iii. East Side of Building Two (2) Lower Windows: One (1) 62" wide X 49 1/2 " high, One (1) 98 1/2 " wide X 49 3/8" high. Two (2) Upper Windows: 53" wide X 36" high. iv. West Side of Building One (1) Lower Window: 60" wide X 38" high. It should be noted that there are currently seven (7) horizontal sliding windows equipped with screens at the Waterford Fire Hall, as identified in Attachment "B" - Waterford Fire Hall Building Layout. The identified existing sliding windows shall be replaced with windows that can provide the same function. All upper windows, located on the north, south, and east sides of the building, shall be installed with capping to suit site conditions. Additionally, three (3) lower windows, located on the south and west sides of the building, shall be installed with capping to suit site conditions, as shown in Attachment 'B' - Waterford Fire Hall Building Layout. All lower windows, located on the south, east and west sides of the building and all upper windows located on the south and east sides of the building shall be installed with privacy tinting. In addition, all curtains and/or blinds and associated components shall be removed from these existing window areas. All replacement windows shall be at minimum, double pane equipped with spray foam and finished caulking (interior and exterior) to maximize building efficiency and prevent leakage. Overall Project Schedule Requirements Work must be phased and carried out in a manner that will provide minimal disruption to staff and general public, when applicable. All work that will interrupt normal business operation and/or scheduled programming must be phased in a manner which maintain comfort of building occupants. All work schedules must be coordinated and approved by the Owner's representative five (5) business days prior to any work and all work must be completed by July 31, 2023. Work should be completed between the hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise required. In order to maintain the construction schedule, after hours' work may be permitted for the project, subject to approval by the County. Award is subject to final approval.
