Site work for a water / sewer project in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Yukon Energy Corporation has a new public safety and debris boom to install across Schwatka Lake upstream of the Whitehorse main dam. The new boom is a different layout from the previous boom. It will include new anchor locations and has both shoreline and underwater anchors. Most sections of the boom are bolted directly together at the end flanges. At anchor locations and close to shore, the boom sections are held together by short chain lengths. The layout of the new boom is intended to direct debris to the west shore. See the drawing package in Appendix 7 for details on the boom. YEC has procured the boom materials, and they are currently located at YEC's warehouse in the Kulan Industrial area in Whitehorse. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
