The floodplain mapping for the Lynde Creek watershed was prepared by EarthTech Consulting Engineers Ltd. in 2008. In the past 15 years, there have been significant changes in the watershed including construction of the 407 and 412 highways, and significant changes road crossings, and extensive urban development throughout the watershed. As a result, new floodplain mapping is required. Questions may be submitted to Louie Jakupi (ljakupi@cloca.com) and Perry Sisson (psisson@cloca.com) before March 15th. The floodplain mapping will extend over approximately 142km of stream (with drainage areas over 125ha), and approximately 80 road crossings. The project will follow Federal Hydrologic and Hydraulic Procedures for Flood Hazard Delineation (Natural Resources Canada 2019) and Flood Hazard Identification and Mapping Program Project Eligibility and Requirements (MNRF 2022).
