Base Bid: consists principally of the replacement of sanitary laterals, and cleanouts, surface restoration, and other appurtenances within existing rights-of-way and easements. The foregoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under each contract. The successful bidder(s) must self-perform at a minimum 50% of the contracted work. The Town of Irondequoit is exempt under New York State Tax law, and therefore, no sales tax on the cost of materials incorporated into the project shall be included in the bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and material bonds in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Town of Irondequoit reserves the right to consider bids for forty-five (45) days after the receipt before awarding any contract. The Town of Irondequoit further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its best interests. All bidding questions or Requests for Information must be submitted by 5:00pm on March 24th, 2023. Questions or requests for additional submitted after this date / time may not receive a response.\ The project is public works governed by the prevailing wage rate. Each workman, laborer, or mechanic shall be paid or provided not less than the prevailing wage rate in effect at the time the work is performed. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining up to date rates schedules.
