Renovation of a mixed-use development in Huntington Station, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development; and water / sewer project.

The scope of work includes renovation of the District's existing administration bathroom, exterior garage bay & flat membrane roof as well as associated accessories, appurtenances & finishes. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the South Huntington Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner. A. The purpose of the project is to build a new locker room and bathroom in a portion of the existing administration building garage.. B. All work shown and specified in the Contract Documents shall be the work of this Construction Contract. The Owner does not anticipate awarding other prime contracts for the project as shown. C. This Section provides an abbreviated summary of the work for the Construction Contract associated with the Owner's program to construct the project. D. In the event that any of the provisions in the technical specifications conflicts with the general conditions, the provision more favorable to the owner, as determined by the owner in its sole discretion, shall govern. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Project submittals and shop drawings. 2. Site safety. 3. Demolition and removals as shown, 4. Construction of new locker room and bathroom, including: all concrete reinforced slab, CMU walls, exterior wall infill, plumbing work and fixtures, HVAC work, electrical work, drywall, wall tile, roof penetrations, windows, doors, finishes, etc. 5. Install floor tile and epoxy floor coating system. 6. Project closeout submittals.
