As of April 24, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 26, 2023. The Town of Florida, acting through its Highway Department, invites sealed bids from contractors approved by the MA Dept. of Transportation for the Tilda Hill Road Pavement Overlay project. The work to be performed includes pavement overlay, including approximately 100' of shim and driveway aprons. All applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations and rules shall be observed. MassDOT prequalification is required of contractors with the class of work as Pavement Surfacing, for the project with an estimated value of $242,587 will be required. The work under this contract shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws. Wages are subject to Massachusetts's minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive. All applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations and rules shall be observed. The Town of Florida reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed to be most favorable to the best interest of the Town. The proposed project consists of 11,600' x 22' of 1.5" 3/8 top-ssc 9.5mm HMA overlay on Tilda Hill Road and street approaches (102' x 38') , Fire Department parking area (94' x 49'), blend driveway aprons, and mill keyways. Approximately 100' of shim on areas of Tilda Hill Rd. specified by The Highway Superintendent.
